Blue Ridge 03:06
I’m like the Blue Ridge I’m like the blue ridge mountains lots of people surroundin’ but barely even a sound on those blue ridge mountains Oh and I’m like a fountain that flows free Lots of people drop change in but that’s the only change that I ever see I’m like an old boat stuck on land instead of the sea And I’ve got an old hope that some day someone will pilot me Sometimes I feel like a river that’s trying to reach the sea but frozen by the cold winds that keep on blowin, blowin on me but even some birds are stuck on the ground, unable to fly but the mountains, they reach up, they reach up and touch the sky so maybe those mountains, ain’t so bad after all stuck to the ground, but at least they stand, they stand up tall Oh I’m like the blue ridge I’m like the blue ridge mountains standing up tall, looking strong standing up tall, looking strong, where I belong

Well I went up to Virginia but the winters were just too, bitter cold and I journeyed down to Florida but the heat and all them gators, got real old but Carolina’s the perfect in between she ain’t always the prettiest but she’s definitely the Queen So Carolina, keep drawin me back home I can always find ya, in my heart wherever I roam Well I went down to Atlanta and got stuck in traffic all day long on my way down to New Orleans but the bourbon only ever did me wrong but Carolina’s got everything I need from the mountains, down to the glistening sea So Carolina, keep drawin me back home I can always find ya, in my heart wherever I roam and if I ever think of leaving she keeps pulling on all the strings think I’ll keep this Carolina in my heart above most anything and If I wander away she keeps telling me to stay for at least a little while longer Well I’ve never been to China but maybe one day I’ll see that great big wall And I’ll see those Himalayas but man, the blue ridge just beats them all Cause Carolina’s a beauty all her own There may be prettier places out there, but none can call my own So Carolina keep drawin me back home I can always find ya, in my heart wherever I roam Carolina, keep drawing me back, home

I've Got You 03:04
I’ve got a broken soul And a heart that’s gone cold From lovers lost, and feeling tossed out from the mold And I played my cards wrong Traded love for a song Wrote it down, shot it down, and tore it all up But I’ve got you I’ve got you I tried to stand on my own, but all I needed was you And it’s true I’m quite the fool But I’m a fool that’s down on my knees asking “What should I do?” But I’ve got you I’ve got you I tried to stand on my own But all I needed was you And I was lost and alone Out in the unknown With nothing left to hold on to But I've got you I’ve Got You I tried to do it alone, but what I needed was you and It’s true I’ve still got you cause I tried to stand on my own but all I needed was cause I tried to stand on my own but all I needed was cause I tried to stand on my own but all I needed was You

It ain’t rained in forty days But I see the clouds coming through that humid haze I ran up to your door and rang the bell first thing that you said to me was boy you look like hell And I said Hey Hey Mama, I’m tired of these streets I need me a bottle of whiskey and something good to eat Please give me shelter, and help me keep warm Everybody needs someone to weather the storm Well she says boy you been gone for 2 years time I ain’t heard a word from you, so don’t give me no lines Go on in and washup and get you some food and stay off that whiskey son, it’ll do you no good Hey Hey Mama, I’m tired of these streets I need me a bottle of whiskey and something (good) to eat Please give me shelter, and help me keep warm Everybody needs someone to weather the storm It started rainin’ as I turned on the water to wash away all the shame and I said hold on before we get much further can you please, tell me my name? You said son you are my son And I said Hey Hey Mama, I’m tired of these streets I need me a bottle of whiskey and something good to eat Please give me shelter, and help me keep warm Everybody needs someone to weather the storm

Begin Again 03:16
I went up to the city of flashing lights and I woke up to that unfamiliar skyline oh but these days my worries seem to cut through the fog and the haze but the light can’t seem to find his way back to me and I wonder how could I feel the warmth again Just begin again And I got up from that same old resting place brushed my hair to the side and fluffed up my pillowcase I looked in the mirror at the reckless face of a man he said what are we gonna do with you and I said whatever we can but I hope one day I can do more than hope again and just begin again come along my friend we can start all over again and just begin again

Smile 03:45
Well I used to think that love was dead maybe it was something just in my head I went looking for it anyway Well how was I supposed to know How feelings for another were supposed to grow I was on my own You were quiet and still sittin in the corner by the window sill keepin to yourself well i knew a whole lot of folks but you caught my eye and my broken hopes when you looked at me And then you Smiled and set my heart on fire standing in my way just like a trippin wire a speed bump that picked me right back up and now I’m fine when you come around picking me up everytime I’m down Can you please stay for awhile and give me a smile Well I couldn’t believe my eyes I’d bought into these spoken lies of love in just a glance well it had to be true with you I’d never felt these feelings it was something new a beauty I’d never seen And you just Smiled and set my heart on fire standing in my way just like a trippin wire a speed bump that picked me right back up and now I’m fine whenever you come around picking me up everytime I’m down Can you please stay for awhile and give me a smile You broke my heart in two and sewed it right back up when you smiled at me I’d never felt so free Well you, took my heart in your hand I was barely a boy not even a man and I said, Girl hold on for a minute I just want to be sure that your heart is in it and you looked at me and you said Smile you set my heart on fire standing in my way just like a trippin wire a speed bump that picked me right back up and now I’m fine whenever you come around picking me up everytime I’m down Can you please stay for awhile and give me a smile
