about

I wrote and recorded this song in quarantine at my home studio and had it mixed and mastered professionally. If I could give the world some words of comfort in these unprecedented times, it's that we're "Not in this alone". It's a simple message, but I wrote it for this time and place because it felt like what I needed to do. I hope you enjoy it

lyrics

Home might feel like the last place
You want to be
Something’s missing now
Out on these empty streets
And a little bit of Hope seems to be
Out of reach
Oh you’re not in this alone

Where we found freedom, now
Feels like a cage
Yesterday’s news seems like
it can wait
The state of the free world is
Hard to gauge
But you’re not in this alone
No We’re not in this alone

We’re standing in a chasm of fear and confusion
Looking hard for any sort of end or conclusion
Hoping for a leader, but they’re all unproven
But we’re not in this alone
No we’re not in this alone
But we’re not in this alone
No we’re not in this alone

With no idea of what
Stands before us
We can band together
In one great chorus
Voice ringing out and man
Is it gorgeous
That We’re not in this alone
No We’re not in this alone
